Ämnet är lika evigt som banalt, men här så brutalt avklätt förmedlat. Förälskelsens förhoppningsfulla övertolkningar, halvt medvetna självbedrägeri och självutplånande längtan. Det som målas upp är irrationellt, men tonfallet är sakligt, logiskt och kargt. Kontrasten blir skön, stämningen både berörande och osentimental.
Jag läser under bitter igenkänning, ömsom med ett snett leende av pinsamt samförstånd, ömsom högljutt skrattande rätt ut i ett tyst rum. Formuleringarna, ofta drypande av ironi, är ibland så knivskarpt träffande att man känner att man borde rama in meningarna och sätta upp dem på väggen.
