Inhalt ⭐⭐⭐⭐ / Übersetzung (de) ⭐

Zum Inhalt: Die ersten Kurzgeschichten haben Bezug zum König in gelb und damit zum Cuthulhu Mythos. Damit erfüllen sie die Erwartungen an die Anthologie. Zum Inhalt der Geschichten mochte ich gar nichts schreiben (keine Spoiler 😉). Sie waren m.E.n. gut und interessant zu lesen. Ab der Mitte waren die Texte für mich ziemlich undurchsichtig und ich konnte der Handlung schwer und zum Teil gar nicht folgen. Diese Texte haben mit dem König in gelb m.W.n. auch gar nichts mehr zu tun.

Zur Übersetzung: Vielleicht liegt es auch an der Übersetzung, dass ich einige Zusammenhänge nicht verstanden habe. Überprüfen kann ich das nicht, weil ich das englische Original nicht habe. Die schlechte Bewertung erhält die Übersetzung jedoch aufgrund von mindestens 2 verwendeten Worten, deren Benutzung für die Geschichte / den Kontext komplett unnötig ist. Es gibt einfach Begriffe, die werden nicht mehr verwendet.

A really random collection of stories

This is a really random collection of stories. I read this on the Serial Reader app, so I didn't really know much about it when I went into it. As I progressed, I had this idea that it was going to be a collection of stories that in some way all had The King in Yellow in them, but that wasn't the case. The stories also aren't all the same genre.

My two favorite stories out of the bunch are the one about the guy in the church who sees the same guy twice and the story about the guy who gets lost in the moors, Phillip. The final story wasn't too bad either, except it ended without any sort of resolution regarding Hastings. It could have been a good story but it just wasn't finished.
