This was actually really good. And by "good" I mean that it's a messy, fragmented novel that switches protagonists several times, boils over and burns, occasionally gets lost in its own attempts to fuse The Kinks and M.I.A., and nevertheless grips me in a way the polished, planned and ridiculously dull On Beauty never managed.
